I was down in Donegal fishing on Saturday,I fished Lough Meela just outside Dungloe. The lough was very low and i had to push the boat out gondola style until i reached water deep enough where i could use the electric motor. There was a north wind on the lough so i moved up to the head of the wind and drifted right down the lough ,i picked up 2 fish on this drift and my boat partner one.whilst motoring back up for another drift the sun came out and the lough went dead,Time for a cuppa and to re-tie casts and change to an intermediate line. I fished for another 2 hours or so and didn't hook another fish although i had pulls and splashy takes on the bob but nothing that stayed on. I caught on a Doobry and a Sooty Olive variant both size 10.
