Thanks Graham had a strangely surreal day driven up from London to a family funeral ,read a fair bit of Headlices book there and back . The man I went to honour was an uncle the last of my senior relatives ,at one time he supplied many establishments on Exmooor with wild salmon ,I would often stop over for a cuppa and a gossip on my way back from Cumria/North wales?scotland and discuss salmon ,he had never held a 2 hander or fished a fly but he knew where fish would lie and he always extracted the urine from me ,sadly missed by me and the boy . We belted out some great farmers hymns in a little churh that has played a large part in my life and then joined in with the dust to dust bit . Of to the Village hall and a wake ensued with more relatives together and folks not seen since my teens . Strange but good day !

I have finished reading LFB and found it very informative and sometimes amusing .Stan certainly knows his stuff and can sometimes come over as arrogant in print but most people that are good at what they do can sound like that can't they?I thoroughly enjoyed reading "The Loch Fishers Bible" and doubt if i will enjoy my next fishing book as much .

Just as arrogant in the flesh but I still like him greatly.always liked people with strong opinions based on experience,Falkus was similar in his strongly held veiws.
